That sounds pretty awesome.
Do you do custom rustic jobs for those of the paleo persuasion? Maybe one where the tip comes off and you can pop out a spear point? I can't be the only damned bat who's thrown a cane like a javeline
Where is custom canes based? And could a cane be delivered to the uk?
I wonder about the merits of this, as I've always been taught that a white cane is not just a mobility aid, but there to tell the general public that you are blind. as a red and white cane is there to indicate you are also hard of hearing. so while I can understand some people's desire for such a cane, I'm not sure it's a great idea.
Yeah. I don't really get it either. A cane is a tool. Not a toy. But whatever. To each his own.
Research in the uk has shown that the public recognise the cane, whatever colour it is. It's true that the cane is not a tool but as a mobility aid which visually impaired people are obliged to use, it can feel good to use one which displays their colours or fashion sense.
